The United Kingdom government led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has opened the way for at least 3000 young Indians to get a UK visa for study, work, or living purposes under the India Young Professionals Scheme. The visa, valid for up to two years, targets Indian passport holders aged 18-30.
It is operated through the ballot system, which has already opened, and the first ballot will close on February 22, 2024, in the afternoon. The Indian aspirants can enter the ballot system free and must pay the visa cost, i.e., £298 (approximately AED 1381). They must also satisfy the financial and educational requirements. Most places will be filled in the February ballot, and the next ballot will occur in July 2024.
The applicants selected randomly in the ballot can apply for a UK visa and get the chance to pursue their careers. A candidate will need to prove identity and arrange all the documents. You may get the decision usually within 3 weeks.
The selected candidates will get an Invitation to Apply (ITA), and the visa has to be applied within the stipulated time and enter the UK within six months after getting visa approval. If you are unsuccessful on the ballot, you can try again on future ballots.
